you're gonna miss this

As I reflect on the past couple months, a song runs through my head. "You're gonna miss this. You're gonna want this back. You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast. These are some good times so take a good look around. You may not know it now. But you're gonna miss this". I thought I would share a couple things that I'm gonna miss.

i'm gonna miss this fast-growing little buddy. why is he so big?

i'm gonna miss going up to michigan to build a playhouse for my little niece and nephews.

i'm gonna miss sitting downstairs watching peter pan with these cuties.

i'm gonna miss taking mirror pictures with marie.

i'm gonna miss taking selfies at 4 a.m. on the way to florida.

i'm gonna miss cutting frozen pizza with scissors bc we had nothing else to use.

i'm gonna miss stopping at the most random places to see alligators.

i'm gonna miss waking up at 5 to watch the sunrise.

i'm gonna miss late night dq runs

i'm gonna miss seeing all the palm trees

i'm gonna miss this big bro who moved out a couple weekends ago.

i'm gonna miss taking pictures at sunset.

i'm gonna miss florida

i'm gonna miss driving to lafayette with marie to visit people and eat out

i'm gonna miss taking literally tons of pictures.

i'm gonna miss eating at olive garden with my bestie

i'm gonna miss going to chicago and eating at the cheesecake factory

i'm gonna miss chelben, who died a couple weeks ago.

But then there are things that I may take for granted. Soooo...

i'm gonna miss waiting on my parents in hardware stores

i'm gonna miss hours of ironing

i'm gonna miss waking up *sigh* very early to go to school

i'm gonna miss math homework, i guess.

That song was such an eye-opener for me, personally. It may seem like forever until school is out or I turn 14, but I'm going to look back and realize how fast time flew. So never forget to enjoy the stage of life you're in.

happy fall!

Happy fall, ya'll! Now that the weather is finally cold we can get our sweaters and sweat pants out. School started on September 3rd (I think), and so far this year has been the best school year ever! A couple weeks before school started, the junior high didn't have a teacher. But two weeks before school started, we heard we were getting a teacher from Oregon! I don't have a picture of our whole class, but I will share a couple of snapshots so you can have a good idea about my school life.

Norris Lake

On Father's Day, Dad, Mom, and the hearth and homers (Kimberly, David, Danny, and I) headed to Norris Lake in Tennessee. We stopped at Panda Express on the way and a quick Walmart run for groceries. Arriving at the house at 12:00 a.m., we discovered that the only way to the house was down a steep hill (at least that's what we thought). David and Dad tried to back the van/boat down the hill. The van lost traction and thankfully David packed sandbags which were stuck behind the boat wheels. We all got behind the boat or the van and pushed as David put the petal to the metal. Thankfully, the van made it up the hill. They later discovered a longer driveway that went right to the house. But that was just the beginning of our adventures.

When we weren't on the boat or playing games, we were gone fishin'

If you can see it, that was the smallest fish I caught.

All the fish that were caught were about this size. We did see a big catfish, but no one was able to catch it.

Tubing was by far my favorite thing to do on the boat!

It was also fun learning how to kneeboard.

When the motor needed to cool, we jumped in for a swim.

Kimberly and I took naps on the boat when we went out early.
