happy fall!

Happy fall, ya'll! Now that the weather is finally cold we can get our sweaters and sweat pants out. School started on September 3rd (I think), and so far this year has been the best school year ever! A couple weeks before school started, the junior high didn't have a teacher. But two weeks before school started, we heard we were getting a teacher from Oregon! I don't have a picture of our whole class, but I will share a couple of snapshots so you can have a good idea about my school life.

my wonderful classmates
we spent wayyy to much time taking this picture
getting ready to bob for apples on Johnny Appleseed day
Keith's expression is the best!
we literally almost dropped Naomi in this picture
our fish Chelben. his name is all of the first letters in our name combined

isn't he so cute?

These pictures can't describe the laughter, joy, memories, and good talks we have had over the last two months. More pictures to come another time!

Norris Lake

On Father's Day, Dad, Mom, and the hearth and homers (Kimberly, David, Danny, and I) headed to Norris Lake in Tennessee. We stopped at Panda Express on the way and a quick Walmart run for groceries. Arriving at the house at 12:00 a.m., we discovered that the only way to the house was down a steep hill (at least that's what we thought). David and Dad tried to back the van/boat down the hill. The van lost traction and thankfully David packed sandbags which were stuck behind the boat wheels. We all got behind the boat or the van and pushed as David put the petal to the metal. Thankfully, the van made it up the hill. They later discovered a longer driveway that went right to the house. But that was just the beginning of our adventures.
This was our very long house.
The dock was our favorite part of the house.
When we weren't on the boat or playing games, we were gone fishin'
If you can see it, that was the smallest fish I caught.
All the fish that were caught were about this size. We did see a big catfish, but no one was able to catch it.
Tubing was by far my favorite thing to do on the boat!
It was also fun learning how to kneeboard.
When the motor needed to cool, we jumped in for a swim.
Kimberly and I took naps on the boat when we went out early.
David and I paddling around the floating houses.

Relaxing on the porch.

We had quite the great vacation!

Boston and Birthdays

This past weekend, I got to explore Boston and Connecticut with Dad, Mom, and Danny. We went to Rockville for baptisms and flew into Boston. We spent a couple hours there with a couple from church following the Freedom Trail a little, explored the USS Constitution and museums, and ate a lot of good food! Then it was on to Ellington and hanging out with Hoffman family. I made a couple new friends who go to Rockville and can't wait to see where we run into each other again!
It was a relief to see this sign after only a couple of hours of sleep!

Mike's Pastries are so good! (thanks Jim!)

Paul Revere statue on the Freedom Trail

The USS Constitution was worth a tour!

Look at all that rope!

It took fourteen men to fire one canon.

This is where they would fix boats.
Couldn't help sharing a pic of this cute little boat!

Needless to say we are all languid after this big trip! Thank you to all of those who made our trip to Boston and Rockville one to remember!

It was this sweet girl's second birthday on Sunday. Adeline Mae, I am so thankful for such a cute, loving, caring, animal-loving little girl! I could post tons of pictures but I'll spare you the time and show you one of my favorite selfies with this girl!

Shout Their Worth

Happy World Down Syndrome Day (a day late)! I have been so blessed to have Isaac in my life. He has made so many people smile and laugh a lot! Isaac is not afraid to show his dance moves, and man is he good! I love looking at each and every selfie with him. My world would be a lot different without my homie!

What a good looking guy!
Isaac loves animals!

My favorite selfie!
I hope you enjoyed the pictures! And the next time you see a person with Down Syndrome, don't stare, SMILE!
